Overview

What Is Reseller Hosting?

Reseller hosting is a hosting account designed to be divided up and sold on. Instead of one control panel for one website, you get WHM — the Web Host Manager — and from it you create as many individual cPanel accounts as your plan allows. Each one behaves like a separate hosting account with its own login, its own files, its own databases and its own email, and each one can be sold to a different client under your own brand.

The appeal is straightforward. If you build websites for a living, your clients need hosting anyway. Sending them to buy it themselves means you lose control of the environment, inherit whatever support problems that host creates, and hand a recurring revenue stream to somebody else. Reselling means you choose the platform, you set the packages, and the monthly relationship stays with you.

From your client's point of view nothing looks unusual. They log in to cPanel, they see your company name, and their website runs on nameservers that carry your domain. White-label hosting means Vebloom is invisible at every step: in the control panel, in the nameservers and in the support conversation. If they ever ask who runs the servers, that is your decision to share rather than something the product announces.

Underneath, the platform is the same one we run for every hosting customer: SSD storage in RAID-10, a 99.9% uptime SLA, Cloudflare support, and 24/7 access to our engineers when something needs us. The difference is who holds the account and who the end client talks to. We handle hardware, networking, operating system patching and server security. You handle packages, pricing and your own customer relationships.

Reseller hosting is not the right answer for everybody. If you run one website, a normal shared hosting plan is cheaper and simpler. If you need root access, custom server software or guaranteed resources for one demanding application, a VPS is the better fit. Reselling earns its keep when you are managing websites for several other people and want the hosting layer to be yours.

What's Included

Everything You Need to Run a Hosting Business

The pieces that turn a hosting account into a product you can sell.

Genuine White Label

Your nameservers, your branding in the client control panel and your name on client-facing email. Vebloom is not mentioned anywhere your clients can see.

WHMCS Licence on Elite

Automated ordering, invoicing, provisioning and suspension, included at no extra cost on Elite — the difference between a side project and a business that runs itself.

Per-Client Isolation

Every client gets their own cPanel account and their own filesystem. One compromised site stays contained rather than taking the others with it.

Cloudflare Support

Free Cloudflare integration on every plan, so you can put caching and DDoS protection in front of client sites without extra tooling.

Room to Grow

From 60 cPanel accounts on Basic up to 200 on Elite, with disk space, bandwidth and dedicated IPs scaling alongside your client list.

Support That Stays Hidden

Escalate to our engineers privately and answer your client in your own voice. We never contact the people you host directly.

White Label

What Your Clients Actually See

White labelling is only convincing if it is complete. A control panel carrying your logo is undermined the moment a client looks up the nameservers and finds another company's domain, or receives a system email signed by somebody they have never heard of.

On every reseller plan you create private nameservers on your own domain — typically ns1.youragency.com and ns2.youragency.com — and set them as the default for every account you provision. Client sites then point at your brand, and anybody curious enough to check sees you rather than us.

Inside cPanel you control the branding, the theme and the contact details shown to clients. Combined with WHMCS on the Elite plan, your invoices, welcome emails and client area all carry your identity too.

The Numbers

The Reseller Business Model, With Real Numbers

Reseller hosting is often sold as passive income. It is better understood as a margin business attached to work you already do.

ClientsYou charge eachMonthly revenueYour plan costGross margin
5$8$40$34.99$5.01
15$8$120$34.99$85.01
30$10$300$64.99$235.01
60$10$600$64.99$535.01
120$12$1,440$99.99$1,340.01

Those figures are gross. The real cost is your time, and it is the line most people forget to put in the spreadsheet. Budget roughly fifteen minutes per client per month for support in the first year: many will need nothing at all and a few will need an hour. If you charge $8 and spend an hour on a ticket, you have lost money on that client, so price for the support you will actually provide rather than for the disk space they will actually use.

What the resellers who do well have in common

  • They bundle. Selling hosting alone invites comparison with $2 hosts. Selling hosting, updates, backups and a monthly check does not.
  • They charge annually. It cuts admin substantially, improves cash flow and reduces churn.
  • They set boundaries in writing. Define what support includes before the first ticket, not during the tenth.
  • They keep headroom. Watch real usage in WHM rather than the totals you have sold, and upgrade before you are tight.
  • They automate early. Manual account creation stops scaling at about client twenty, which is exactly why WHMCS is bundled on Elite.
How It Works

WHM, cPanel and Who Uses What

WHM is your panel. From it you create packages (how much disk, bandwidth and how many databases a tier includes), create accounts against those packages, suspend accounts that have not paid, change limits as clients grow, take backups and see which accounts are consuming the most resources. You also set up your private nameservers and account-wide defaults here.

cPanel is your client's panel. They use it to upload files, install WordPress, create email addresses, manage databases, set up redirects and view basic statistics. They cannot see other accounts on the server, and they cannot change anything outside their own account — which is exactly what you want when you are responsible for several clients at once.

On the Elite plan, WHMCS sits in front of both. A client orders a package from your website, WHMCS takes payment, creates the cPanel account through WHM automatically, sends the welcome email with their login details, and raises the invoice again next month without you doing anything. When an invoice goes unpaid past your grace period, it can suspend the account and unsuspend it the moment payment arrives.

The division of labour matters: we look after the server, you look after the business, and your clients look after their websites. Each layer only sees what it needs to.

Choose a Plan

Pick Basic, Standard or Elite depending on how many client accounts you expect in the next year, and whether you want WHMCS included.

Set Up Nameservers

Register ns1 and ns2 hostnames on your own domain, point them at the IPs we provide and set them as your WHM default.

Create Your Packages

Decide what a small, medium and large client gets — disk, bandwidth, email accounts and databases — and price each one for the support you will give.

Onboard Clients

Create accounts in WHM, or let WHMCS do it automatically on Elite. Migrate existing client sites with help from our team.

Is It for You?

Who Reseller Hosting Suits Best

Web Design Agencies

You already build the sites. Hosting them keeps the environment under your control and adds predictable monthly revenue to project work.

Freelance Developers

Host your own clients instead of sending them elsewhere, and stop debugging problems on hosting you cannot log in to.

Marketing Agencies

Landing pages, campaign microsites and client websites in one place, with the ability to spin up a new account in minutes.

IT Service Providers

Add website and email hosting to the services you already provide to small businesses, under the brand they already trust.

Multi-Site Owners

Running a portfolio of your own sites? WHM keeps each one isolated, with separate logins, backups and resource limits.

Not a Good Fit If…

You have one website, you need root access, or you want a hands-off income stream. The first two point to shared hosting or a VPS; the third is a misunderstanding worth correcting early.

FAQ

Reseller Hosting FAQs

Everything agencies and freelancers ask before moving their clients across.

Reseller hosting gives you a WHM (Web Host Manager) account on a shared server, from which you can create and manage individual cPanel accounts for your own clients. You set the packages, the prices and the branding. Your clients log in to a control panel that carries your name and your nameservers, and they never see Vebloom anywhere in the process.
Our reseller plans start at $34.99/month for Basic with 60 GB of SSD RAID-10 storage and 60 cPanel accounts. Standard costs $64.99/month with 150 GB and 125 accounts, and Elite costs $99.99/month with 350 GB, 200 accounts and a WHMCS billing licence included. Every plan renews at the same price you signed up at.
Start with Basic if you are hosting your first handful of client sites — 60 accounts is far more than most agencies need in year one. Move to Standard when you want a dedicated IP address and more storage, and to Elite when you want WHMCS billing included and room for up to 200 accounts.
Yes. You create private nameservers on your own domain, such as ns1.youragency.com, your branding appears in the client control panel, and support escalations come to us privately rather than to your client. We never contact your clients directly.
WHM is the administrator panel you use as the reseller: you create accounts, set packages, manage limits, suspend or terminate accounts and handle backups. cPanel is what each of your clients logs into to manage their own website, email, databases and files. One WHM account contains many cPanel accounts.
You need less than people expect. The server is managed for you — updates, security patches and hardware are our responsibility. What you do need is comfort with DNS, cPanel basics and a willingness to answer client questions. If you already build websites, you almost certainly have enough.
Completely. You decide how much disk space, bandwidth and how many email accounts each package gets, and what you charge for it. Most of our resellers bundle hosting with maintenance rather than selling it as a standalone line item, because it is easier to justify and far harder to compare on price alone.
A WHMCS billing licence is included on the Elite plan, together with installation. WHMCS automates ordering, invoicing, provisioning and suspension, which is what makes a reseller business scale past roughly twenty clients without eating your evenings.
The Basic plan uses a shared IP address. Standard includes one dedicated IP and Elite includes two, which is useful for private nameservers and for clients who ask for a dedicated address.
Yes, on every plan. You register nameserver hostnames such as ns1.youragency.com and ns2.youragency.com against your domain, point them at the IPs we provide, and set them as the default in WHM. From then on, every account you create hands your clients your nameservers.
Account limits are 60 cPanel accounts on Basic, 125 on Standard and 200 on Elite. Each cPanel account normally holds one client's primary website, though your clients can add addon domains if the package you sell them allows it.
Yes. You can move from Basic to Standard or Elite at any time as your client base grows, and your existing accounts move with you. Upgrades are handled by our team so nothing is interrupted for the clients you already host.
Yes. Free SSL certificates are available for the accounts you create, so every client site can run on HTTPS without you buying certificates individually or passing that cost on.
WHM shows you per-account resource usage, so you can see which account is heavy before it becomes a problem. You can adjust that client's package, move them to their own VPS, or ask them to fix the underlying cause — usually an unoptimised plugin or an unindexed database query.
Yes. Tell us how many accounts you are moving and where from, and our team will help you plan the migration so client sites and email keep working. Moving accounts in bulk from another cPanel host is usually straightforward.
No. Your clients contact you, and you contact us. We answer you privately so you can respond to your client in your own voice. That is what keeps the white-label relationship intact.
It can be, but it is a business rather than passive income. The economics work best when hosting is attached to something you already do — building sites, running an agency, maintaining a client's marketing — because the client relationship already exists and churn is much lower.
Yes. Every cPanel account includes email, so you can sell mailbox-only packages to clients whose websites live elsewhere. It is a common way to add recurring revenue to a client who is not ready to move their site.
You can take account backups from WHM and restore them when needed. We also recommend keeping your own off-site copies of client data, especially before major changes, so that you are never dependent on a single backup location.
Refunds and cancellations follow our standard policies. Please read our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy, or talk to our team before you buy if you have questions about moving clients in.
