Overview

Paris VPS Hosting for France & the Francophone World

France is one of Europe's largest digital markets, and Paris is the heart of its internet infrastructure. The city hosts France-IX, the country's leading internet exchange, along with a dense concentration of carriers, cloud providers and content networks. A France VPS in Paris gives your website or application short, direct paths to French ISPs — so pages load quickly whether your visitors are in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse or Lille.

Every Vebloom Paris VPS runs on KVM virtualization with NVMe SSD storage. You get an isolated virtual machine with guaranteed CPU cores and memory, full root access and a dedicated IPv4 address. Run a Linux web stack, Docker containers, a database cluster or Windows Server applications — the server is entirely yours to configure.

Language and geography make Paris especially valuable. A VPS server in France is ideal for French-language websites and services that also reach Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg. France's southern coast is one of the Mediterranean's major subsea cable hubs, which gives French networks strong connectivity towards North Africa, the Middle East and beyond — useful for businesses serving Francophone audiences outside Europe.

Paris is also a major centre for media, fashion, luxury retail, tourism and a fast-growing start-up scene. From online boutiques built on PrestaShop — an e-commerce platform born in France — to SaaS products and news sites, a French VPS helps you deliver the fast experience local users expect.

Our nineteen France VPS plans start at $14.99/month and scale to 96 GB of RAM with 24 cores. Whether you want a cheap France VPS for testing or a Windows VPS in France for business applications, renewals are charged at the same price you signed up for — and each region publishes its own plans and prices up front.

Why Paris

Why Choose a Paris VPS?

Paris offers a large domestic audience, excellent European connectivity and a natural home for French-language services.

Local Peering in Paris

With France-IX and a dense carrier ecosystem in the city, your France VPS reaches French ISPs through short, local routes, keeping latency low for visitors nationwide.

Perfect for French-Language Sites

Serve France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Monaco from one location that is close to the largest French-speaking audiences in Europe.

EU & GDPR-Friendly

Data on your Paris server stays inside the European Union, simplifying data residency for French and EU businesses and their customers.

Mediterranean Cable Access

France's Mediterranean coast is a major landing point for subsea cables, giving French networks strong routes towards North Africa and the Middle East.

A Major E-commerce Market

France has one of Europe's largest online retail markets. Hosting locally helps your store load fast for French shoppers and supports better search rankings.

Central Western European Reach

London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Zurich are all within roughly 6–12 ms of Paris, so a France VPS serves much of Western Europe too.

Network Reach

Fast Connections From Your France VPS

Latency has a direct impact on how quickly your pages render and how responsive your application feels. With a VPS in Paris, users across mainland France typically connect in just a few milliseconds, and neighbouring countries are only slightly further away.

That makes Paris a strong single-region choice for businesses focused on France and Western Europe — and a sensible complement to servers in other regions if you also serve customers in the Americas or Asia.

From Paris toTypical latency
Brussels, Belgium~6 ms
London, United Kingdom~8 ms
Amsterdam, Netherlands~10 ms
Frankfurt, Germany~10 ms
Zurich, Switzerland~12 ms
Milan, Italy~15 ms
Madrid, Spain~20 ms
Casablanca, Morocco~40 ms
New York, USA~75 ms
Montreal, Canada~85 ms

Approximate round-trip times over typical routes. Real-world latency varies with your ISP, peering and time of day.

Use Cases

What You Can Build on a France VPS

From boutique online shops to high-traffic media platforms, a Paris VPS gives you dedicated power and complete control.

PrestaShop & WooCommerce Stores

Host PrestaShop, WooCommerce or Magento stores close to French shoppers. Dedicated resources and NVMe storage keep catalogues and checkouts quick during the soldes and seasonal peaks.

Media, News & Publishing

Run WordPress news sites, magazines and content platforms with the CPU and memory to handle traffic spikes when a story takes off.

Tourism & Booking Platforms

Power hotel booking engines, travel agencies and event ticketing sites that serve the many visitors planning trips to France every year.

Start-up & SaaS Products

Launch MVPs, APIs and SaaS platforms for the French market, with room to scale from a single small VPS to a high-memory production server.

Streaming & Media Delivery

Deliver video, audio and large downloads with low latency across France, Belgium and Switzerland.

VPN & Remote Work

Set up a private VPN with a French IP address for remote teams, secure browsing or testing French-localised websites and services.

Plan Guide

Which France VPS Plan Is Right for You?

All 19 plans share the same KVM platform, NVMe storage and Paris network. The only difference is how much CPU, memory, disk and bandwidth you get, so the right choice depends on what you plan to run.

1–2 GB RAM

Starter Projects

With 1–2 GB RAM and a single CPU core, these plans suit personal websites, landing pages, a small WordPress blog, a private VPN, Discord or Telegram bots, cron jobs and development sandboxes. They are the most affordable way to get root access and a dedicated IP in Paris.

4–8 GB RAM

Growing Businesses

Our most popular range. 4–8 GB RAM and 2–4 cores comfortably run WooCommerce stores, several WordPress sites behind a control panel, Node.js or Laravel apps, internal tools and CI runners. Most businesses serving France start here.

8–16 GB RAM

Performance Workloads

8–16 CPU cores and 16–32 GB RAM give you room for busy databases, SaaS platforms, Docker and Kubernetes nodes, high-traffic media sites, analytics pipelines and several production services on one server.

16 GB RAM and above

Data-Heavy & High Concurrency

With 16–32 GB RAM and 8–16 CPU cores, these plans handle large databases, search engines, media processing, CPU-based AI inference and enterprise applications that need to stay close to users in France.

Not sure where to start? Pick the smaller plan that fits today and upgrade as you grow — moving from one France VPS plan to a larger one usually needs only a brief restart and your data stays in place. Because every Vebloom region prints its plans and prices up front, adding servers in other regions later is just as easy to budget for.

Included

Everything Included With Every France VPS

No setup fees and no paid add-ons for the essentials — every plan ships with the same core features.

Instant Deployment

Your France VPS is provisioned automatically, usually within about 60 seconds of payment. Choose your operating system, set your credentials and connect — no ticket queue and no manual setup delays.

DDoS Protection

Multi-layer DDoS mitigation is included on every plan at no extra cost. Malicious traffic is filtered before it reaches your server, helping keep your Paris VPS online during attacks.

Full Root Access

Complete administrative control over your server. Install any software stack, tune kernel parameters, write your own firewall rules and run whatever services your project needs — no restrictions.

NVMe SSD Storage

All plans use NVMe SSD storage, which reads and writes far faster than traditional SATA SSDs. The result is quicker page loads, snappier databases and faster builds and backups.

Automated Backups

Daily automated backups keep your data safe, with seven days of snapshots available so you can restore your VPS to a previous state if an update or deployment goes wrong.

24/7 Expert Support

Our engineers are available around the clock via live chat, email and WhatsApp to help with provisioning, networking and server-level issues whenever you need them.

Data Residency

GDPR & Data Residency in France

Hosting your server in Paris keeps the data stored on it inside France and the European Union. For French and EU organisations, this makes the data residency side of GDPR much simpler and removes questions about transferring data outside the EU for the information you keep on the server.

In France, the GDPR works alongside the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés) and is enforced by the CNIL, one of Europe's most active data protection authorities. French customers, public bodies and large enterprises often prefer — or require — that their suppliers host data within France or the EU.

Keep in mind that where your server sits is only one part of compliance. With full root access to your France VPS, you control encryption, authentication, backups, logging and data retention, and you remain responsible for how personal data is processed. Our team is happy to discuss your needs before you deploy.

Setting Up Your France VPS

From Order to a Secure Server: Your First Hour on a France VPS

A VPS gives you full control, which means the setup is yours to do. These steps are the ones we recommend for any new server in Paris, France.

1Choose the Operating System

Most websites and applications run on Linux. Ubuntu LTS and Debian are the most common choices, because they are widely documented, receive long security support and are easy to find help for. AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux suit people who prefer the Red Hat family. Choose Windows only when you need Windows software, such as .NET applications or trading terminals.

Pick the system you or your developer already know. A familiar system is easier to secure and to fix when something goes wrong.

2Log In and Update the Server

After your France VPS is delivered, you receive its IP address and login details. Connect from a terminal with SSH, using the root login first, then update the system straight away so that known security fixes are installed.

  • Connect with ssh root@your-server-ip and change the root password if you are asked to
  • Update the package list and installed software with the system's package manager, such as apt update && apt upgrade on Ubuntu or Debian
  • Restart the server if the update installs a new kernel
  • Set the server's time zone and hostname so that logs are easy to read

3Secure Access Before Anything Else

A public server is probed within minutes of going online, so secure access first. Create a normal user with sudo rights, add an SSH key for it, and then disable password logins and direct root login in the SSH settings. Keys are far harder to guess than passwords.

  • Create a new user and give it sudo rights
  • Generate a key pair on your computer with ssh-keygen -t ed25519 and copy the public key to the server
  • Turn off password authentication and root login in the SSH configuration, then test a new session before closing the old one
  • Turn on a firewall such as UFW, and allow only the ports you need (SSH, and 80 and 443 for web)
  • Install Fail2ban to block repeated failed logins

Always keep one working SSH session open while you change SSH or firewall settings, so that a mistake does not lock you out.

4Install Your Web Stack

Install only what you need. A typical website uses a web server (Nginx or Apache), PHP or another runtime, and a database such as MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL. A Node.js application usually runs behind Nginx as a reverse proxy, managed with a process manager.

Add HTTPS with a free certificate from Let's Encrypt, using Certbot, and set it to renew automatically. Point your domain's A record at the server's IP address, and give DNS a little time to spread. If you need a domain, you can register one with us.

5Backups and Monitoring

A server without backups is a risk waiting to happen. Schedule daily backups of your files and databases and keep copies in a different place from the server, then test restoring one. Monitor disk space, memory and CPU, and set up an uptime check that emails you when the site stops responding.

Updates matter too. Turn on automatic security updates where suitable, and review the server once a month.

6When to Upgrade or Add Servers

Watch your resource use over a few weeks. If memory, CPU or disk are regularly near their limit, move to a larger plan. If you need to serve users in another part of the world, add a second server in that region rather than overloading one location. Our guide to choosing a VPS location explains how to decide.

More Questions

More About a France VPS

Extra answers for new server owners.

Do I need to know Linux to use a VPS?
Basic command-line skills help a lot, because you manage the server yourself. If you would rather not, ask our team about setup, or choose managed web hosting.
How quickly is my server ready?
Provisioning is automated, so most servers are ready shortly after payment is confirmed, and the login details are sent to you.
Can I run a website and a database on the same VPS?
Yes. Many small and medium sites run the web server and database together. Larger projects separate them as traffic grows.
Can I install a control panel?
Yes. Because you have root access, you can install a control panel of your choice, or manage the server directly from the command line.
Can I use the VPS for email?
You can, but running reliable email takes care with DNS records, reputation and security. Many businesses use a hosted mailbox and keep the VPS for applications.
What if I choose the wrong location?
A VPS stays in the location it was ordered in, so choose carefully. To change, order a server in the new place and move your data across.
